Question: Although we have good health insurance we do not have dental.  I currently have this very bad toothache and would like to go to the dentist.  However I know without dental insurance dental cost are very high.  What can I do to help lower my dental cost?  My husband is away right now so I have to be careful with our money.  I do live on a fixed income.  What are my dental choices?

At this time you would want to avoid a dental PPO insurance plan. Although they are great for choosing your own dentist or staying with your current provider they do also have waiting periods that will effect the services you may need currently.
