Dental Insurance Health Care, Interdental brush such as the Proxabrush.

Friday, Jan. 5th 2018 6:13 AM

For people that have braces or anyone that may have receding gums, it is a good idea to have an interdental brush with you. Such brushes are small, and are manufactured by several companies such as Gum for the Proxabrush. Sometimes even floss or an electric toothbrush does not remove a tiny piece or rice stuck between your tooth and your wire, but in that case an interdental brush can do wonders.

My current dental insurance plan which is an HMO does not cover for me to see a specialist of any type.  My dentist told me that it could run around  $800–$1000 to have the root canal treatment done by an Endodontist give or take depending on whom I go to. Where can I go to help me with this additional dental cost I was not ready for?

Reply: You may want to review our dental discount plan options. A discount plan is effective the next business day with no waiting periods. As long as the plan in question has an Endodontist dentist in their plan net work of providers, you can go right to the Endodontist and get at least 20% off their normal charges.

Dental Insurance Health Care, Root Canal Treatment

A Safe Way To Save The Tooth

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic therapy, is probably the most maligned of all dental procedures, but the reputation of pain typically associated with “having a root canal” is really not deserved.  Today, root canal treatment has given dentists a safe way of saving teeth.

Left without treatment, pus builds up at the root tip, in the jawbone, forming a “pus-pocket” called an abscess.  Without treatment, your tooth may have to be removed.  During treatment, your general dentist or endodontist (a dentist who specializes in problems of the pulp) removes the diseased pulp.  If an endodontist performs the treatment, he or she will recommend that you return to your family dentist for this final step.  The treatment can readily be done using modern local anesthetic techniques with little or no discomfort.

Dental Insurance Health Care, Root Canal Cost

Saturday, Dec. 23rd 2017 9:31 AM

Dentists typically base their root canal fees on the number of individual root canals found in the tooth.  Those teeth that lie between the incisors and molars vary by the fact that they typically have either one or two root canals. The cost of root canal varies depending on some factors: The area in US the dentist located.  The fee your dentist charges for the root canal treatment will probably be less than if you required the services of an endodontist.  The average cost is $300 to $1000 for a root canal depending on the area in the U.S. the dentist is located.

Dental Insurance Health Care, Sugar Free Gum Can Help to Fight Plaque

Tuesday, Dec. 5th 2017 7:50 AM

How Chewing Sugar Free Gum After a Meal Can Help to Remove Plaque.

It is not really the gum that is helping to remove dental plaque from your teeth when you chew it. However, by chewing gum after eating it can help stimulate and produce saliva. One role saliva plays n your mouth is to partially clean your mouth following a meal. Therefore chewing on gum can stimulate your mouth’s saliva to be constantly produced. This will help remove some of the food debris, and some of the dental plaque that has been created after you have eaten. However some plaque can be consistent and sticks to teeth and saliva by itself can not remove it. It is only by brushing and flossing thoroughly that you can make sure you have removed the dental plaque from around your teeth in order to prevent tooth decay
